About the Artist
Naureen Ali is a Canadian artist and photographer whose work is inspired by nature, travel, and everyday human experience. She spent several years in Singapore, where she trained in oil painting at a Classical Realism school under the guidance of an established American artist. Earlier in her journey, she received a certificate in oil painting and pencil sketching from the Richmond Hill Group of Artists in Ontario in 2012. She has also studied art history and landscape painting through courses in Europe and Canada.

Naureen primarily works with oil paints, but her practice also includes acrylics, mixed media, ink, and charcoal sketches. An accountant by profession, she views art as a space of balance and reflection — a place where structure gives way to intuition and emotion. Her paintings often explore narrative themes and landscapes, expressing inner states as well as the beauty of the natural world.
Alongside painting, Naureen is a self-trained photographer with a deep love for travel and nature. She has traveled extensively across Far East Asia and Canada, capturing landscapes, wildlife, architectural forms, portraits, and thematic photo series. Across both painting and photography, her work reflects a quiet appreciation for detail, place, and lived experience.
Naureen is a supporting member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and continues to exhibit her work in Canada and internationally.
